Middle-aged Dad Rock Party Band??
The trouble with most tribute bands is they try too hard to be cool. I'm in my 40's now, I just want to go out and have a good fun time in my dad uniform of worn out running shoes, cargo shorts and polo shirt. To the unassuming eye I'm a regular dad comfortable in his own skin, I don't need to try hard because I know I'm rad as f*ck already.
Now imagine a band full of such individuals, quality musicians leaning into middle-age with a knowing wink and a cheeky smile... smashing sing along Dad rock covers in quality venues. We're not talking playing to 3 people in the Black Lion, I'm talking a big party band playing big busy venues for people that want to be out having a good time!
Tunes we'll have heard and played a million times before but never quite like this! With keys, sax, backing vox and whoever else we can shoehorn up there alongside the usual setup we'll be a well polished party machine in no time!
Set list TBD but here's a playlist of the kind of thing I'm thinking:

Obviously it's got to fit in around our middle-aged (ish) commitments of work, family, grass maintenance and/or tidying the shed. In general reckon practice weekly with a gig or two every month would work best. As we'll have all no doubt played these tunes a few times before in previous bands we'll not need much time before we're ready to roll!
Age range wise I think as long as you vaguely remember watching Challenge Anneka or Noels House Party you'll be in good company. I like to think it goes without saying this will be fun, I'll be front man so will do my best to make that happen. If it sounds like something you'd be into let's have a chat and get something moving!
