Starting a metal band

Hi, I am a student at Hudds uni studying music tech. I want to start a metal band ideally based on campus as I have free access to practice rooms. I am inspired mainly by Nu metal, melodic metal and industrial metal, as well as more modern metal bands. I would ideally like to use these genres and make something new. I am also an experienced producer and sound engineer myself so can save studio fees as well as practice room fees
