New Project: Drummer with Vocal Skills Wanted
Hello,
I'm currently in a rock / power pop duo, but we are on hiatus and may need not start up again. Therefore, I'm looking to start a separate musical project.
What I'm Doing:
I've got a setup where my guitar feeds into both a guitar and bass amp, with a Boss octave pedal and EQ pedal for bass tones, creating a full band sound as a duo.
What I Need:
A drummer who's comfortable doing some vocals. It's important you're into backing vocals at least, but if you're up for some lead vocals, that's a bonus. The idea is to keep it versatile. If you can write songs with me or separately that's also a bonus (but not essential).
Why Start Something New?
Simply put, availability issues have limited gigging and recording opportunities with my current band. I'm aiming for this project to be a bit more active. I'm nearly 40, have my own commitments, and am not looking to upend my life for music, but I do want to push this project as far as we can.
Who I'm Looking For:
Someone who's serious about their music but can balance that with the realities of life. You should be interested in a project that's looking to gig and record with a bit more regularity, provided we can align our schedules.
Interested?
If this sounds like it could be up your alley, let's have a chat. I'm looking for someone who's keen to dive into a new musical venture and see where we can take it, within the bounds of our everyday commitments.
If you want to listen to some of my current stuff it's on here: https://linktr.ee/thewrongsignals (we were a 3 piece a while ago which evolved into a two piece. Our latest two songs were just two of us).
Once this is set up, can can look at expanding into more members, such as keys, lead or whatever if we want to thicken the sound
I'm based in North Manchester but am able to drive to rehearse anywhere in the general area.
Thanks,
Dave
