Established alternative band looking for a drummer
Hey folks,
My band recently found out that our drummer is going to be leaving us, so we want to see if there's anyone out there might be interested in talking about joining us either to cover a few gigs that we have booked in early next year on a session basis, and/or also as a permanent member.
We've been going for nearly a decade, have played all over the world, are signed to a fantastic indie label and have built up a reasonable following during this time. We started out with more of a punk / grunge / DIY sound, but have gradually introduced more rock, post-rock and some electronic elements into our music as time has progressed.
We have a lot of new music finished, have gigs booked and were originally planning to hit the ground running next year with a new record before having this set back. We're still hoping to do all of this, but it obviously makes sense to now see if we can get a drummer on board before we plan too far ahead.
We have our own rehearsal space at the moment (in Manchester), so this could suit someone that is looking for a place to rehearse potentially too, although the impact of losing a member may effect what we end up doing with this.
I can share lots more information via message with anyone who is genuinely interested and is happy to tell us a bit about their background. Given that we're all in our 30s now this would potentially suit someone who has already relatively experienced and has been around for a bit, but we're equally not looking to discriminate against anyone at all who wants to have a chat about it.
