Second guitarist needed for punk / shoegaze band
Hey guys,
we're 3 piece that wants to round out our sound a bit as a 4 piece. We practice at least once a week and play regular gigs but looking to step that up. Next one is at The Bulllingdon in Oxford on December 5th and we're building up to releasing our first single in February (just mastered it).
Been recording with a great name producer (going back in to record more in Jan) and although we're in it for fun too we really do take it seriously. Members previously signed multiple times and planning to do similar ambition wise. So that means you'd have to be able to play pretty great but you don't have to be a shredder at all. Just be able to do some interesting stuff, alt tunings etc... Play lead parts while the other guitarist focuses on singing etc.
Anyway vaguely along the lines of: Blonde Redhead, Duster, TAGABOW, Sonic Youth, Swervedriver, Fugazi, Diiv, Dinosar Jr, Quicksand, Refused. Basically heavyish, but with hooks and some pretty shoegazey / sonic youthy breakdowns.
