Punk/metal guitarist needed urgently!
Hey,
We are Blow Up Doll, a fully formed band who were starting to play gigs, getting more booked in and (still are) in the process of recording seven tracks, our bassist happens to be a sound engineer- always useful in a band…. 😉, but we suddenly lost our last Guitarist who can’t play due to illness so are looking for someone to fill his shoes ASAP so we can get back gigging and recording!
We’d love a female guitarist to even out the band but skills, style and how we get on is much more important obviously! We hope to be gigging locally and a bit around the UK this year and aim to play a festival this summer - Also we’d love to get an EP out possibly this year too and shoot a music video (have someone lined up to do this once recordings ready) so basically want someone who has ambition as well as commitment and is up for projects like this! We rehearse weekly usually on a Sunday afternoon/evening.

You can find us online on Instagram and Facebook. @blowupdoll_official apologies that there’s not much on there- we are in the process of sorting out socials, Unfortunately, we all seem to hate social media so a band member who likes/ has skills with that sh*t would be a bonus but obviously once again far from the most important thing!
We can send over more recent recordings- we are going in a slightly heavier direction so a Guitarist with some metal influence might be good! We would also appreciate you sending us some examples.
We need someone who’s able to learn the set list quickly, but all band members are part of the creative process so happy to make changes if you have new ideas that work, even on old songs, and love nothing more when someone brings in a new riff and excites the rest of the band! Well…. Maybe a gig 😉
We’re very dedicated about what we do but also love to hang out as mates and get beers after rehearsal!
