Great Vocalist required for David BowieTribute Band
We are Brixton Jones, a David Bowie tribute band looking for a great vocalist to be our Bowie.
In time we will be looking to cover the entire collection but initially, we will be concentrating mainly on the Ziggy Stardust & Aladdin Sane periods plus a couple of songs within our remit, that fall outside of that period . We are in our 50's but don't see age or gender in being an obstacle for any suitable candidates. If you are able to play an instrument this would be beneficial, although not entirely essential as It's the voice & stage presence that we are looking for. You will need a decent microphone & stand though as a bare minimum .Our mandatory requirements extend to reliability, a commitment to our rehearsing schedule, a decent appreciation of Bowie's material & to possess a decent stage presence with the ability to sing his songs in time & in tune. Being able to Interact with an audience is a must as you would be expected to dress up as Bowie, delivering a decent performance & play the part at gigs .We are experienced musicians, our current set up being guitar, bass & drums with backing vocals. Once we are up & running we would be looking to add a keyboard player so that we can broaden our spectrum by introducing Bowie's keys orientated & later material. We have our own professional PA & lighting system & would like to be rolling this project out in 2025.
