Hi guys - A cappella vocal harmony anyone ?

Hi all, this is a wee bit niche and a long shot.

Any guys fancy getting a vocal harmony quartet project on the go to do A capella, Barbershop, Doowop etc.

I have never sung it but have listened to and loved the different forms for decades.

The idea is to bring together folks who think they might be a Bass, Tenor and Lead singer (I think I'm a Baritone – I can sing around B2-F4 with reasonable ease). I'm not the best singer in the world and definitely not a lead singer, but I think four ok voices together, with practice, could sound great.

I have played guitar and sung harmony for decades and have some musical theory, but after a previous attempt at a similar project it quickly became obvious that singing multi-voice a cappella is a different level altogether and very much needs at least one person in the group who has a good grasp of the mechanics/theory of it, to guide the rest of us who maybe don't.

Looking at once per week rehearsal.

I can't see this being an earner (but you never know) so maybe treating it as a labour of love type of project is best and see what happens, although I wouldn't be averse to playing out if we're good enough – why keep all of those lush harmonies to ourselves lol.

(Looking to keep it to a quartet or maybe quintet, not looking to create or join a chorus)

Please DM me if your boat is floated. Cheers
