Guitarist wanting to form a 2000's cover band.

Hello!

I'm a 38 year old guitarist who's been playing for around 24 years. I've been in a couple of bands in the past. My first serious band at 17 - 20 played every weekend and even did some touring of the America. Then my 2nd serious band was a covers band from the content will be revealed after joining, it is hidden for privacy protection from bots playing every weekend and a mix of classic/standard covers.

Since then I've concentrated on work, family etc etc. I have dabbled in a few guitar related projects over the years but I my daughter is a little older now, I'm self employed and I feel like I have the time now to be able to truly commit to a band.

I've been scanning this website for a few weeks but nothing has really come up that I'm looking for so thought I would make an ad!

I'm really wanting to create a covers band that mainly concentrates on the early 2000's scene. Think Blink 182, Foo Fighters, Sum 41, Wheatus etc etc. Basically like the American Pie soundtrack! As time moves on this is what a lot of people's soundtracks were for people now between the content will be revealed after joining, it is hidden for privacy protection from bots. I honestly think this idea would be really popular, instead of the normal cover bands doing ACDC etc etc.

So, I'm a guitarist who can provide a little backing vocals. Looking for a drummer, bassist and singer. Happy to consider a 2nd guitarist/keyboardist too! I think 28+ would be good for ages. Also I would like to think anyone who was to enquire had a competent level of playing in their chosen role and gear that is able to rehearse/gig with. I don't want this to be super serious, but serious enough that we keep to rehearsing at least once a week with the final aim being one or two decent gigs a month.

I may hear nothing back from anyone, but thought I would try and do my own add and see if anyone else is feeling the same as me. Here's a link to a song I recorded, thank you.
