NW London - forming alt rock band - bassist in 20s wanted

Hi, I'm forming a (hopefully long-term) band in the North West London area, and I'm looking for an energetic bass player in their 20s who uses a pick. I'm in my early 20s and play guitar/sing as well as writing the lyrics.

My main influences include Nirvana, the Manic Street Preachers and Queens Of The Stone Age while Mark Lanegan, Buzzcocks, Black Flag, Pixies, Placebo and R.E.M. are other influences, although I'm not afraid to state that I grew up with some poppier influences that inspired me such as Scouting For Girls and Take That, yet for some reason I strongly hate a lot of pop-punk and modern day indie. Also have always loved Queen, The Beatles and David Bowie which could be said for anyone really. Although not an influence, I do like other genres like ska (such as The Specials and Madness) and the blues.

I'll link some demos below. In case it's needed, the lyrics reflect my political and social background (left wing and of a working class background), and is probably the thing I'm most confident about in my music. Musically I'm not technical at all or experienced, but I'm always willing to learn and improve while having fun.

As a person I tend to value honesty and niceness above all. I'd like to think I'm a nice person and don't have an ego, but that's up for you to decide. I'm also happy to answer any questions you may have.
