Drummer wanted for an established, bit bonkers covers band
The band was first established in 2007, known then as The Krazy88.
We all had growing families, and gigging became a bit problematic, so we took a break around 2012 although we met up frequently and reformed as The Voodoo Vultures
A few changes here and there and we were a 5 piece, guitars and keys. Out of the blue, we heard the very sad, sudden, and unexpected news that our drummer had died. An undiagnosed heart condition, he was 50.
The band is genuinely an opportunity to enjoy music, banter, gigs. For us it must be the opposite of work. We play the best we can but It's not a 'money' thing, just pubs and small gigs formed around those who know us. We try and take songs and twist them, trying not to produce an accurate recreation, I mean, come on, Abba is on the list... can you imagine five 40 to 50 years old blokes banging out SOS
I have a small studio on Unthank Road, we just about squeeze in. It has a 'house kit'. We tend to practice Sunday nights. But use Earth Studios when we need to crank up volumes.
