Guitarist Looking for Jam Session/New Project
Hi all. I'm a 32 year old guitarist looking to start a jam session/project in the melodic/post-hardcore, alt-rock, emo sort of genres.
Think something along the lines of bands like Title Fight, Basement, The Hotelier, At the Drive-In, Braid, Brand New, Texas Is The Reason etc. I like a lot of the midwest stuff (i.e American Football) but with a little more edge and a bit less emphasis on twinkly riffs (as nice as they are!).
Just looking for nice, like-minded individuals who want to jam, become friends and see where this leads. I don't mind playing lead or rhythm, I don't care for skill levels, experience etc - I'm just looking to play music that has meaning to me with others and enjoy doing it.
My current setup is pretty basic at the moment as I've just moved here, so it'd probably be best for us to book a practice room somewhere, hopefully gives you some idea of the kind of sounds I like to make:
- Fender Telecaster
- Earthquaker Plumes Overdrive Pedal (I tend to always use the clean channel and use this for distortion)
- BOSS CH-1 Super Chorus Pedal
- Fender Marine Layer Reverb Pedal
- Keeley Compressor Pedal
- ALABS Timeslip Delay Pedal
If any of this sounds interesting to you then feel free to drop me a message. Thanks!
