Acoustic folk-pop band seeks a wind or string player, All female acoustic group seeks one more: wind or string
We're 4 women playing acoustic, melodic music with a bit of folk - a little quirky. Mainly originals with some adapted covers. Current instruments are fiddle, acoustic guitar, double bass. Sadly we are losing our pipe player. We would welcome another woman to bring either a wind instrument(s) (eg clarinet/whistle/chalumeau/flute/maybe trumpet) or another stringed instrument (eg mandolin, banjo, banjolele) to the band. Good backing vocals would be a real plus. Probably the right fit is more important than the instrument - but we will be needing something that can 'carry melodies'. We are in our 50s/early 60s, but age isn't as important as a sense of humour and a collaborative approach to making music. We have gigs waiting and are currently promoting our first EP. We practise in Woodbridge/Felixstowe.
