Rockabilly slap bass player seeks like-minded musos

I'm a rockabilly/rock and roll guitarist who has gotten fed up and turned to double bass as a.

There are too many spare guitarists about chasing too few bands ... especially when you are quite mature like myself,

and b. nobody much wanting to get out there and gig some of the most danceable music ever written. No, I would cut my own whatsits off rather than play Sex Is On Fire to a pub full of bored, drunk people. Now, a crowd of folks jiving or slam dancing … and you are talking (drunkenness optional).

I'm new to the 'doghouse bass', but I can hold a tune, slap pretty okay and, if called to, can even sing a bit while doing so if needed!

Open to suggestions … duo with guitarist, rockabilly trio R&R band. Jam partners - I don't mind adding in some psychobilly as I love bands like the Necromantix, Creepshow etc. Happy to jam and see what comes out … but remember transporting the 'musical wardrobe' is hell, so I'd sooner rehearse/jam locally in East London if possible.

I'm musically very experienced on guitar as well … but it would seem - that my heart lies with double bass … and no I don't play electric bass – or at least not in public 😊

Have mohawk, double bass and a sense of humour. Similar age to Lee Rocker … those who need to can look that up. Over to you …
