Ambitious Fool Searching for Enablers
Greetings, friends and musos,
I am an idiot who keeps writing things and then gets frustrated as he can't get the opportunity to play them live, I've been hoping to find a set of enablers to allow me to fixate on getting something together, I don't necessarily want to be solely doing one thing, I want to hopefully be able to do a few things to keep busy and keep my musical muscles moving, so that sort of indicates my hope to do original work as well as doing covers. Hopefully gig doing one or the other, both if and when we can.
So less about my ambition and more about description:
I'm looking for a bassist and a drummer who are well versed in the world of metal, more specifically the progressive side of things with a touch of other things. Think Iron Maiden/Megadeth for one second and Opeth/Devin Townsend another, even with covers too! I have a guitarist currently interested but just need to get the drummer and bassist interests now.
I don't have any expectations, if anything, the ideal bassist would be fluid and able to move pretty freely around the fretboard, you don't need to be flashy at all either! With drums, its pretty similar, just someone able to play well and freely, my absolute hope for drums would be a drummer capable of using double kicks (Of course, metal, hur hur) and if they'd like to experiment with a double ride set-up, that would be perfect as its something I use a lot in my music (Big Gene Hoglan fan!). I play drums myself and only ever use patterns I've written on my acoustic kit so don't worry about octopus sections!
If it helps, I do have two tracks which were released recently for an upcoming project which I'll be hoping to play

Thank you for reading and I hope to hear from folk soon! I'm itching to play!
