Experienced guitarist seeking band
Hi,
I'm a guitar player / songwriter recently moved to Manchester from London.
Having settled into the area I'm now looking to get back into making music with a crowd of like minded people. I'm under no illusions of grandeur and I'm just looking to find people into similar music with a decent musicality and a fondness for discordance and tension.
I'm open to a couple of directions.
A covers band that plays classics tunes from the 60's to 00's (no emo) from artists such as The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Led Zep, Neil Young, Dylan, The Smiths, The Stone Roses, Depeche Mode, Kings of Leon, Oasis, New Order, Joy Division etc. preferably money earning.
or
an originals band as a collaborative project with influences including, Black Sabbath, The Smiths, Pearl Jam, Radiohead, Neil Young, Pixies, dEUS, Interpol, PJ Harvey, Kings of Leon, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Sonic Youth, The Cure, Nirvana, NIN, Ennio Morricone
Ideally if there are any projects out there already going similar to the above looking for a proficient guitar player then I could be your man.
Most recently I fronted my own post-punk band HYMNS as the main songwriter / guitar player (this will give you an example of my vibe)

I am currently working up demos in a similar vein if anyone wants to collaborate.
We played a fair few gigs around London venues.
I've also toured as part of indie artist Darling Boy's touring band, in Germany and the UK a few years back

I'm eager to get on the same page as other musicians.
