Female Americana Musicians Wanted

Hi I'm a singer songwriter who has recently joined forces with a very talented guitarist in the hope that we can pull together a group of individuals interested in making music in the 'Americana' style.

We intend to play a mixture of original material as well as some carefully selected covers.

We would like to widen our 'sonic pallet' (sounds fancy) with the addition of either a talented female singer songwriter or a female violinist who can also provide backing vocals or indeed lead vocals. (The combination of male/female voices and harmonies is something we would like to explore.)

We are at a very early stage so your contribution regarding material, whether that be your own originals or covers would be welcomed.

To start we would probably be aiming to gig once a month, so not a massive intrusion into personal/family life. This may flex slightly (either way) depending on the success of the project or the personal circumstances of band members. Obviously we are not even at that stage yet, as we are still pulling the project together, realistically it will be 2025 before we are ready for any live work…possibly starting off gently with 'open mics' and progressing from there; but all that's up for debate, nothing is set in stone at this point in time. The guitarist and I would both rather get the right individuals in place rather than rush into anything.
