=FUNCTION BAND AUDITIONS!=

Hello All!

I am a guitarist with a good background in live music. I am hosting auditions for a new function band based in the Ards/Belfast area. Having recently left a very successful wedding & function band due to relocating, I have learned a lot about running a band, the business side and live sound over the last few years. Using this experience, I now seek to set something up back here. This will be a serious project with regular gigs but also alot of craic.

**THE OPPORTUNITY**

Join a function band that will eventually be playing functions regularly with minimalist high-tech equipment. This means less set up and tear down time and a quality sound. The group will aim to perform at least 3 times per month.

**WHAT YOU WILL NEED**

You will need to be an experienced musician, reliable with all your own gear and transport. You will need to be willing to commit to the band and put it before any other groups you may be involved in. Reliability and availability are key.

**HOW WILL IT WORK?**

Once the members are selected, we will be creating a promotional video at a local popular venue with the help of professional photographers. We will then be hitting the wedding fairs combined with a social media campaign. There will be some pub gigs but only a few to go alongside the fairs. This band will not get stuck endlessly playing the local pub circuit. A slick advertisement campaign and public exposure will get the name out there.

Auditions will be taking place in Newtownards on a Saturday in early February.
