Lead Guitarist Wanted - Rock & Indie covers band
Audio Thieves are seeking a new and confident Lead Guitarist to join our well established 5 piece Rock and Indie covers band.
We have been going 12 years now (a few line-up changes along the way) and are based across central Scotland.... mainly rehearsing in Glasgow.
We have complete modern up-to-date PA kit, including digital mixing, in-ears, 2000W speakers and bass bins etc… so fully equipped for gigs both large and small.
We play regular pub gigs, and also recently headlined Freshers week at Strathclyde Uni, played at Prestfest and a number of other larger events, so the venue and size of audience can vary, which makes it all the more fun.
Unfortunately, due to moving to Wales, our excellent current Lead 'Axeman' is reluctantly having to withdraw from the band, so the opportunity is now available for someone looking to join a great bunch of guys and gig with us (once up to speed)... but just as important, to have a bit of fun and enjoy playing music.
Check us out by viewing our list of covers to date and also hear some of our studio recordings on our website ... audiothieves.co.uk
As you will see (and can hear), we play an eclectic mix of old and 'new' Rock and Indie tracks, along with some occasional 'rock/pop' ... and also some quite a bit 'left field' tracks.
We are all in the 40s to early 60s age group (but will not discount anyone on age .. our leaver is in his late 30s). Playing ability and 'fit' with the band are the real key to anyone looking to join us .
Obviously we need a fair amount of commitment in the early months for rehearsals to allow you to get up to speed with our covers (initially perhaps 3 or 4 sessions per month) and thereafter to be willing to commit to at least 1 to 2 gigs a month (on average). Feedback from all our gigs is very positive and we do have regular slots at a number of venues.
While we do get paid for our gigs, this is a 'hobby'....we do this for the music and the fun of it ! Like most, we all have families and work commitments, so anyone looking at this as the primary focus for making money or a 'big time' band career, we are probably not the band for you.
Anyone interested or wish to know more please do get in touch .... but please be genuine... and please, no timewasters ... thanks
