Drummer Wanted for Opal Butterfly

I was the lead guitarist with Opal Butterfly in the late sixties, and I have been wanting to resurrect the band for some time now. After many months of exhaustive searching I finally found four new members who are extremely talented musicians, but unfortunately the drummer has found that he no longer has the time to put into the project and no longer wants to continue.

We will be rehearsing in a studio in Cumnor, (Glass House Studios) we did rehearse in a hall in Didcot, but by moving it to Oxford we would hopefully attract a drummer from the Oxford area. Drummers tend and want to use their own kit but the studio we will be using has a full backline including a full miked up drum kit if you didn't want to bring your own. We would like to rehearse perhaps every week for four hours, but it could be every two weeks dependant on members other commitments.

Age and level of experience is no problem but we need someone who is as enthusiastic as we are and a stayer. I have made inroads with promotors with a view to joining the festival circuits when we are ready which these days seems to be the way to go, and with a named band from the 60's means that we already have a foot in the door.

We will be playing a mixture of Opal recordings and Rock/Blues covers.
