Function/Party band

Hi all

Looking to put together a function/ Party band around the Medway Maidstone North Kent area.

At present I am located around Ashford, Kent but, moving to the Rochester area after Christmas. So, thought it would be a good time to get things moving ready for the summer season.

I'm a guitarist with many years experience in pubs, clubs, festivals and some recording.

Played everything from Jive and Swing to pop, rock and country.

Looking to put together a band ideally with the usual bass, drums, 2nd guitar/rhythm, keys and vocalist(? Plural).

Would like at least a male and female vocalist but a pair of each would also work. As long as the voices blend and we can do some harmonies.

Thinking about maybe the following on a set list although, not set in stone.....

I got the Music in Me (Kiki Dee) opening number

Side (Travis)

Monster ( The Automatic)

Bad Guy ( The Interrupters version)

Well Alright (Santana)

Black Velvet (Alana Miles)

Hazy Shade of Winter ( Bangles et al)

Also maybe some Cardinal Black stuff like Where'd you Go.

Trying to avoid the usual fare like Rolling Stones, Beatles, Oasis.....you get the drift.

Something that will get people going 'oh, never heard a band do this before' and then get up and dance all night.
