Guitarist looking for drummer for Art Rock/Post-Punk project
30 y/o guitarist, looking for drummer. My influences are Massive Attack, Mark Lanegan, King Krule, Portishead, Cocteau Twins, Magazine, Stone Roses, Joy Division, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, The Cure, Failure, The Damned, Fugazi, Jerkcurb, PJ Harvey, Red House Painters, Weyes Blood, and Sea Power.
Over the last year Ive been trying to record my own material (guitar, bass, drums, synths, samples), but its been a laborious process. I'd really like some other musicians to collaborate with. Im looking to find musicians for an originals band with an alt-rock/post-punk feel.
I'm strong with music theory, have pro gear, also pretty skilled with Logic Pro X and other software. My main love and focus has always been playing guitar and writing songs, but I also really enjoy working with drum machines and VSTs. I have original material written; full songs and a lot of bits and pieces which I think with could turn into something cool.
