Established 6 stringer looking to rejoin musical society
After recently hitting 30, I've realised I've spent the last 5 years with just a few false starts and promising projects fizzling out, but nothing substantial to get me playing. The itch is well and truly back, so I'm looking for an established outfit to hit the ground running with, covers or original, I'm easy!
More of a tap dancing soundscape kinda guy than shreddy solos (I know all those minor 6 chords your mum warned you about) but happy to put my hand to anything that catches my ear. My only hard no is metal (my hollowbodies just aren't cut out for it). Backing vocals are a distinct possibility, but I won't be belting out any Michael Ball high notes, I just don't physically have enough blood in my body to sustain them.
Now the usual spiel: played for 20 years, in and out of bands for 15 with varying levels of success. Professional level gear, own transport, home studio and know-how on production, steady 8-4 working hours and no kids so I can stay out past bedtime with plenty of time to commit!
I have predominantly played bass and keys for the last few gigs, so I would consider that for the right group but I'm mainly looking to get back to guitar duties. Happy to send over previous recordings for reference!
Show me what you got!
