Drummer Wanted for Power Pop, Pop Punk or Indie Rock 2 piece
My previous band, The Wrong Signals, is currently on hiatus with a likelihood of not returning. We were initially a 3 three, then a two-piece - we started more on the indie side and gradually shifted towards the pop-punk rock end. I'm now looking to start a fresh musical project with a new direction.
About what I can potentially do:
In my previous band, I played guitar through a rig that gave us a full band sound as a duo, using pedals to split between guitar and bass amps. I'm planning to use a similar approach for this new project but am open to evolving the sound further.
What I'm Looking For:
A drummer who's excited about creating something new. It's great if you can contribute some backing vocals or even lead vocals, but that's not a dealbreaker. If you enjoy songwriting or want to collaborate on ideas, that's a bonus, though not essential.
Why Start Something New?
With scheduling issues limiting opportunities to gig and record with my previous band, I'm looking for a project with more flexibility to build momentum. I'm nearly 40, so I'm not looking to upend my life for music, but I do want to see how far we can take this within our commitments.
Long-Term Possibilities:
This will start as a duo, but I'm open to expanding the lineup later on—whether that's adding keys, lead guitar, bass or anything else that thickens the sound. However, we can, in theory, start gigging fairly quickly depending on how much we gell.
About Me:
I'm based in North Manchester but happy to travel for rehearsals in the surrounding areas.
