Lead Guitarist Wanted

We’re a drummer, bassist, rhythm guitarist and singer based in Newcastle looking to form a grungey alt-rock/alt-metal band. We’re inspired by bands like Nirvana (obviously), Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Stone Temple Pilots, The Pixies, Melvins, as well as newer acts like The Pretty Reckless, Royal Blood, Nothing But Thieves and so many more.

We’ve already had a couple of jam sessions and started writing some original material. Some of our ideas have a sound similar to Alice In Chains and Soundgarden and one track in particular leans into a sludgy vibe with a strong Melvins/Corrosion of Conformity/Down influence.

We’re all in our 20s, have solid experience from previous bands and some great connections in the local scene that we’re keen to make use of.

We'd like to rehearse regularly, write original music, record and release music and play gigs as often as possible. We want this to be something fun for everyone but also something we can be really proud of. This is a creative outlet for us alongside our day jobs, so we’re looking for people who share a similar mindset. Laid-back but ready to put effort in when it counts.
