We're after a Bassist and Vocalist for a metalcore-ish band.

We've played together for nearly 2 years doing covers, we've just started writing last year. We were about to finish writing our second song when our bassist left.

Never had a vocalist, the intention was to get one when we had about 3 songs but we thought we'd kill two birds with one stone when our bassist left. Getting a Bass player is a priority though.

We've been covering the following:

- Suffocating Sight - Trivium

- Hand of Blood - BFMV

- Stranded - Gojira

- Silvera - Gojira

- Mikasa - Veil of Maya

- Laid to Rest - Lamb of God

- Self Revolution - Killswitch

Those are the songs we're most likely always going to jam when we play together so if you can learn those that would be ideal. We play in Drop C / Standard D for all of them when we reherse. There are others we occationally play but since we're writing originals now there's less focus on learning new songs.

We're going for a classic metalcore with progressive metal influences. From the list above VoM and Trivium is the closest I could describe the style we're currently going with.

Bassist - if you've only been playing in your bedroom that's fine as long as you can play the songs in that list, you're confident in your ability to play, and have your own gear.

Vocalist - Again, someone who's confident in their ability and can pull off those songs without blowing their voice out. Not sure what we're after when it comes to originals but if you can sing and scream that's a start.

Previous gig / band experience isn't necessary as it's been a long time since either of us have played in a band or gigged. We practice at Pulse Music Studios in Blyth when we're rehersing or playing covers and go to one of our houses when we want to write.

Our age range is late 20's to mid 30's

Drop me a message if you have any questions or if this sounds like something you're interested in. We're all pretty laid-back but determined to gig and push this as far as we can and it would be good to find someone like-minded.

Cheers,

Lee
