Singer-songwriter looking for band members
Seven years ago I wrote and recorded a concept album, but I never managed to gig much with the songs, except for very stripped down acoustic versions. This is mainly because I made life difficult for myself by adding lots of instruments on Logic Pro, without a band to play them live with me. Whenever I've played the songs at open mic nights / gigs, it has felt like I'm not doing them justice on my own.
I'd love to get back into gigging, but I'm looking for people who genuinely have an interest in the songs I've written, who might want to play around with me and get them to work live. Without wanting to sound disgustingly pretentious I find the album a little bit hard to define by genre - I tend to say its kind of soft alt rock, but with an electronic feel to quite a few of the songs. Bands I was inspired by include Coheed & Cambria (and the singer's side project, Prize Fighter Inferno), Everything Everything, Bon Iver, and the Dear Hunter. If you have time I'd ask you to listen to a few of the songs on the album (or just parts of them), because there are a few different styles to the songs. I wouldn't necessarily want to play them all, and I have some newer stuff I've been playing with also which could be fun to try.
In an ideal world I'd love to collaboratively play around with the sound and lean into the electronicky vibe, maybe more alternative than the way I've recorded the songs (it's been a long time and there's a lot I'd change listening back!). I'm open to ideas, but I love music that takes unexpected turns, e.g. with varied time signatures, song structures, or sounds.

A few of the songs I might like to gig with, which you could listen to:
- A civil warning
- Henchman's melody
- The resignation of Mr Everett
- Second storm
Here's me performing a newer song also, which desperately needs a beat...
